Trinkets For Anamika

It was just another mundane weekend morning. No different than any other day for a bum like myself. I had no expectations from it. I believe a plumber was supposed to come by to fix a water leak. Very exciting weekend plans as you can see for yourself. However, something happened that morning that would change the trajectory of my life. I got a notification on my phone that I had a match on this dating app. I take a closer look and see this gorgeous (GORGEOUS I TELL YOU) woman had swiped on me. I am a direct person and I reach out to this beautiful woman. I send her a message. She reads it. Then sends one back. We start conversing a little bit. To my surprise, she is not only beautiful, but she is very cool, funny, witty, and down to earth. I tell her my plans and she makes banter about how I had nuked my toilet so bad that the plumber had to stop by. Pretty funny and well delivered. Ei meye tah then tells me this one thing and you could say at that point I subconsciously knew that if we got to hangout it would be a great time. Maybe even deep down I knew that she was the one. She tells me that she has a doctor's appointment. Then she immediately clarifies that it is a contact lens appointment at Walmart. Either way she did not have to clarify, but in her doing so, she came across as immensely down to earth and genuine. I knew at that point that I had to meet this person. I offer that we could maybe meet up for boba. She agrees. We meet halfway in the North Texas city of Grand Prairie at Gong Cha. I bring with me a bouquet of flowers (not roses, Jesus). Also with me is a white flag (ie: a paper towel) because of an inside joke. We see each other, she was wearing a mask. We grab boba. Sit down. We end up talking about a wide variety of topics. All of a sudden it is getting dark. A bunch of time had passed without us realizing and we were still talking. I suggest some nourishment for our famished selves. She agrees and we choose a Korean BBQ chicken spot in Arlington, TX. I drive. We grab a table. We talk more. We laugh. We much the chicken down. We sip on the agua. She suggests that we take a photo to remember the moment. We do. It is almost midnight by now. I drive her back to Gong Cha where her car is. We exchange Snapchats. We say good bye. We go our separate ways. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the point in history where the story of Anamika and Aninda begins.
